 Strengthening Collaboration: GAME4CHANGE Consortium Meets in Rotterdam

The international consortium of the Erasmus+ KA220-HED project “GAME4CHANGE Digital Serious Games for Climate Change Education” held its second transnational project meeting in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, bringing together representatives from partner institutions across Europe to review progress, share insights, and plan upcoming project activities. Some partners also had the opportunity to join the meeting online.

 

During a productive and inspiring day, partners from Portugal, Poland, Italy, Greece, Ukraine, and the Netherlands presented updates on their respective work packages and discussed next steps for implementation:

WP1 – Project Management: Financial and progress report updates, including the interim report – Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal).

WP1 – Monitoring and Evaluation: Overview of evaluation progress and upcoming monitoring activities – Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland).

WP2 – Research, Strategy and Pedagogical Model: Review of completed and pending tasks, milestones, and team responsibilities – ATERMON B.V. (the Netherlands) and Harokopio University of Athens (Greece).

WP3 – Digital Toolset Development: Progress on the structure, requirements, and timeline for the GAME4CHANGE digital platform – Xenios Polis Culture, Science and Action (Greece)

WP4 – Communication, Dissemination and Networking: Updates on the project website, social media channels, dissemination activities, and upcoming communication plans – Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine).

 

The meeting concluded with the planning of future activities, setting of dates for the next transnational meetings, and a group discussion to summarize achievements and strengthen collaboration across the consortium.

 

The event once again highlighted the importance of teamwork and creativity in advancing innovative educational approaches. The partners exchanged experiences and ideas for integrating serious games and gamification into higher education as powerful tools to raise awareness about climate change and environmental sustainability.

 

GAME4CHANGE stands for “Digital Serious Games for Climate Change Education”. This Erasmus+ KA220-HED project aims to develop digital serious games for climate change education, enhancing awareness and engagement through innovative educational tools.

GAME4CHANGE runs for two years, includes seven prestigious partners from five European countries, and is coordinated by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal).
