The GAME4CHANGE Consortium Advances Work on Climate Change Education Tools
On June 17, 2025, the GAME4CHANGE consortium members held an online coordination meeting to discuss the progress of the project implementation, and in particular, Work Package 2 (WP2): Research, Scientific Production & Pedagogical Methodologies (RSPM). This work package plays a foundational role in the project, which aims to develop innovative digital serious games and educational tools to strengthen climate change education across Europe.
During the meeting, project partners shared updates on ongoing research activities and the development of pedagogical methodologies that will underpin the GAME4CHANGE curriculum and training materials.
WP2 will result in several key outputs:
– A set of research-based educational modules;
– The GAME4CHANGE Handbook;
– Evaluation tools.
These results will directly contribute to the design of the project’s digital tools, the training of educators, and the activation of AI-driven components such as the GAME4CHANGE AI+ Proficiency Assistant.
To ensure quality and impact, both qualitative and quantitative indicators are being used, including participant satisfaction, achievement of learning outcomes, number of trained individuals, and dissemination through EU platforms.
All consortium members are actively contributing to the development of content, reinforcing the collaborative and cross-national spirit of the Erasmus+ initiative.
The work of WP2 sets the stage for the upcoming phases of the project, ensuring a solid scientific and methodological basis for future activities.
GAME4CHANGE stands for “Digital Serious Games for Climate Change Education”. This Erasmus+ KA220-HED project aims to develop digital serious games for climate change education, enhancing awareness and engagement through innovative educational tools.
GAME4CHANGE runs for two years, includes seven prestigious partners from five European countries, and is coordinated by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal).
