Kick-Off Meeting of the Erasmus+ Project GAME4CHANGE

Successfully Held in Athens and Online

On February 13-14, 2025, the Kick-Off Meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220-HED Project GAME4CHANGE took place at Harokopio University of Athens, in Greece, with hybrid participation online.

The meeting gathered project partners to discuss key aspects of project management, research methodologies, digital tool development, and dissemination strategies.

Key Highlights of the Kick-Off Meeting:

  • Opening and Welcome – Hosted by Xenios Polis Culture, Science and Action and Harokopio University of Athens (Greece).
  • Project Management (WP1) – Led by Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal), covering project development, with a monitoring and evaluation plan presented by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland).
  • Research and Scientific Production (WP2) – Discussion on desk research, online questionnaires, and focus groups, led by ATERMON B.V. (the Netherlands) and Harokopio University of Athens.
  • GAME4CHANGE Digital Toolset (WP3) – Presentation of the digital platform framework by Xenios Polis Culture, Science and Action.
  • Communication, Dissemination and Networking (WP4) – Communication Strategy, content plan, brand identity issues and social media presence, coordinated by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine).
  • Project Roadmap and Next Steps – Final discussions on setting collaboration strategies and future meetings.

 

The event also provided networking opportunities through the 2nd Open-Air Cities International Conference on “Local and Regional Sustainable Development and Urban Reconstruction” organised on February 14-16 by Harokopio University of Athens.

GAME4CHANGE stands for “Digital Serious Games for Climate Change Education”. This Erasmus+ KA220-HED project aims to develop digital serious games for climate change education, enhancing awareness and engagement through innovative educational tools.

GAME4CHANGE runs for two years, includes seven prestigious partners from five European countries, and is coordinated by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal).
